Welcome to My Beautiful World

Joa Macnalie is a post-graduate student of Liberty University with a Master's degree focus in Professional Counseling.

Ms. Joa jump-started her career as a clinical case manager and beginning therapist at the Salvation Army, working with substance abuse patients in the Article 31 mental health program. Joa is shifting gears to join MCUSA as a behavioral therapist and motivational coach working with at-risk youth within the public school system, as her passion is rooted in education and inspiring the youth.

Macnalie was a stellar student-athlete graduating with high honors at Southern Vermont College where she completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology. Like Kaepernick, Joa was a decorated athlete. She was the captain of her basketball team; a 3 time MVP, The Scott McKenzie sportswoman of the year, and entered into the 1,000 point club in her junior year to retire her #22 jersey. Joa’s admiration for Kaepernick comes from his willingness to walk away from the one thing he loves to stand for something greater than himself. His selfless act is an open invitation for us all to “believe in something, even if it means sacrificing everything! #JustDoIt.” Joa hopes to meet Kaepernick in person some day.

Joa’s first published work is a children’s book titled The Hero in the Helmet: Colin Kaepernick, based on super-star athlete and humanitarian Colin Kaepernick and the NFL protests he led. His courage to speak out against police brutality and racial injustice despite the personal and professional risks, inspired the project. “Colin Kaepernick is the Martin Luther King, Jackie Robinson and Muhammad Ali of our time, and I am honored to esteem him in my work,” says Joa.

Since the publication of her book in early May of this year, Joa has received a considerable amount of press and is a proud best-selling author. In just a few months, she has been been invited to speak on several radio shows, has been featured in The New York Beacon; as well as, four magazines including: State vs. Us, Compulsive, Right on, and In the Spotlight. Joa is a compelling public and motivational speaker and is available for all bookings.
